Power, versatility, and passion: the Superquadro of rock and metal.
OverSquare was born in 2019 in Quinto, rising from the ashes of the previous band Nova. Their name pays tribute to their love for motorsports and motorcycles, inspired by Ducati’s Superquadro engine—a symbol of power, precision, and performance. With this same energy, OverSquare channels their mission into music: delivering an authentic and electrifying sound that blends rock, prog, and metal.
The lineup includes:
- Claudio Massarotto (lead vocals): the expressive powerhouse of the band, crafting lyrics that explore personal growth, life’s challenges, and self-discovery.
- Francesco Benedetti (guitar): a prog enthusiast whose virtuosity adds refined and powerful layers to the sound.
- Davide Novello (bass): the versatile glue that binds the band’s diverse musical influences.
- David Facchin (drums): the backbone of the group, combining energetic rhythms with intricate dynamics.
With a sound that defies rigid classification, OverSquare fuses the roots of rock and metal with progressive influences, creating music that’s both powerful and captivating.
Since their formation, OverSquare has lit up key stages, including the Vicenza Rock Contest, where they performed both as contestants and special guests, and the inaugural Rock sul Naviglio festival in Padua. These live experiences have cemented their presence in the music scene, proving their ability to captivate audiences.
2025 will mark a major milestone with the release of their debut EP, a project set to capture the essence of their unique musical identity. Looking ahead, OverSquare aims to fill their schedule with live performances and work on their next album, planned for release by the end of 2026.
OverSquare is more than a band—they are an unstoppable musical engine, ready to leave their mark with power and creativity.
